Occupy Edinburgh General Assembly 13th February 2012 at the Methodist Church, Nicholson Square. Minutes. (Last minutes from Melting Pot should read 2012 and not 2011).

Building /Office space Jenny, Pat (Council) and Josh still investigating possibilities
Council GrantUp to £5000 may be available, however we will have to have a Constitution with named individuals/post holders to be able to apply.
Events /StallsAny events organised via the Council to contact Tom O’Brien. Pat is our main contact with the Council.
We need to organise a TIMELINE OF EVENTS to include community outreach weekends with prior notice given to residents, posters/leaflets.
Regular stalls (themed) to be held every Saturday in town centre, with meeting place outside RBS in St Andrews Square. This week Saturday 18th,Eric to bring chalk, Kim artwork and Pat to provide table and A2 laminated/plastic sleeve info. Meet at RBS at 1pm, stall 1pm to 4pm. East end of Princes Street. This week’s themes (3), ACTA, MOVE YOUR MONEY, COMPASSIONATE COMMUNICATION (NVC). Stall time rota to be organised in the future.
Barra suggested KINDNESS OFFENSIVE for the future including litter picking/recycling in town and communities. Mike asked that all t shirts that were bought for the march be returned to him and/or worn on Saturday and future events. Eric to contact Arban regarding production of new t shirts.
Other Events
Anarchist Society of Edinburgh, Lessons Learnt from St Andrews Square, February 28th, 8pm to 10pm. Venue to be confirmed.
ALBA- Occupy Compassion. Workshop this Monday 1pm to 3pm, venue to be confirmed. Workshop 25th/26th February, Himalayan Centre, 10am to 5pm.
Finance
Willie insisted all money/donations should be transparent, open and accountable. Willie has identified two trustees who may be willing to take this on.
All GAs to now be on Monday nights between 6pm and 8pm. Tom securing venue for next week’s GA at Edinburgh University, details to follow.
