Donations

In order to continue our campagin for a fairer society and a brighter future for everyone we need as many resources as we can get.

We’ve already recieved a lot of support from the local community and the people who attend our regular meetings and events are constantly giving so much time to us.

If you wold like to help support us, but are unable to lend your time we would ask that you donate.  Not all donations have to be financial in nature, we are always looking for informaiton on how we can better achieve our goals.  However, it would be greatly appreicated if you could give even a small amount.  Please see below for possible options.

This is our Pay Pal button.  If you click it you can choose to donate as much or as little as you’d like.  Bare in mind though that Pay Pal takes at least 20p as a fee from every donation.  So if you give 40p, they’ll take half of it.  If you give a pound, they’ll take 20%.  And if you give only 20p then they take it all!  So we’d like to suggest that if you support us, around about £5 would be a very good amount to start with.  More is of course better.
£5 will go towards about 250 flyers for our outreach programs.
£10 will allow us to produce 30 badges.
£15 will get us one tent for our next camp.
£20 will get our printer cartridges refilled to allow us to produce more outreach material.
The more you can give, the more we can do.  But give any amount at all and we’ll love you forever!
If you would like to donate more directly and have more control over what your donation is spent on we also have an Amazon Wishlist.  It has a number of items on it which we need or can put to great use.  Some are more expensive than others but all will be greatly appreciated.  The wishlist can be found here, if you would like to take a look.

Occupy Help Desk - Where to bring wishlist items

The best way to support the occupation is to come down and take part. Even if its not overnight, come down and introduce yourself. This is a people powered movement, you have the power, come down to St Andrews Square and use it. EVERYBODY is welcome!

If you can’t make it down to the square then you can email the different working groups to get involved remotely. Alternatively, simply email occupyedinburghmedia@gmail.com to get email updates and information on future events, actions etc.

With the winter coming up we also desperately need help in preparing the camp for the Scottish weather. If you can come down to lend a hand weatherproofing the tents and marquee that would be fantastic – contact a member of the Infrastructure working group for more information.

We could also do with donations of a number of items (the URGENT items have ‘!!’ after them). If you can donate any of these items then please simply bring them down and give them to one of the Love Police (hi-vis jackets)
